The front clip coming up to the lower radiator support is a nice feature (more important for those with trimmed or aftermarket bumpers, obviously). If I didn't already have an aftermarket front, I'd definitely look at this one. The access hole for diff service is a nice feature, too. By the way, from the international site, here's the trans/tranny and fuel tank skids: ![]() ![]() Dan |

jinstall wrote: Yes normally it is for the oil filter Well, sort of... I don't think anyone's skids actually interfere with the filter, but with this one might make it hard to get to the filter with it installed. Of more consequence is the transmission/xfer case pattern. On the US-spec CRDs, the 545RFE puts the bolts into the transmission cross-member in slightly different places (i.e. an 02 gasser skid with a 45RFE auto fits perfectly on a CRD). I'm not sure about the international fitment, since the manuals may have different slightly length/placement of the transmission, too. The fuel tank skid is the same for anyone 02-07 Dan |

I don't remember what part number I used when I bought mine. I noticed though with my oversized filter I can no longer get the filter off without loosening the trans skid with the OEM skid. |

Hi, ASFIR Transfer/Geabox will not fit onto a KJ V6 because of where the exhaust passes close to the subframe, might fit a KJ 2.4 petrol, CRD not a problem. I have one fitted and we were looking to see if we could on a V6 over here. Fil. |

I noticed though with my oversized filter I can no longer get the filter off without loosening the trans skid with the OEM skid. The late-model KJ Mopar skid and the "one size really fits all" model from Skid row didn't line-up with the pattern on my transmission crossmember. SR's answer at the time was "take out a drill and put some new holes in it". I tried a used mopar skid from another member (who had an early model gas KJ with 45RFE transmission) and everything lined up. Ultimately, I can only speak for what I've tried, but the differences in transmissions do seem to correspond to my experiences. Dan |

I must have ordered an earlier one because my mopar one fits great Any of you experts think that the aluminum is an upgrade over the stamped mopar ones? I am always worried about my transmission from stories on here, but I am not sure the extra expense and weight is worth it |
