So what's the difference? And does one perform better then the other? I'm talking about both the air and oil filters. Any opinions are greatly appreciated. |

Personally, I use either Mobil 1 or Purolator Pure 1 oil filters and the Amsoil EA air filter. |

I love all the Amsoil products but I'm biased! If you plan on running extended oil change intervals, the oil filters are worth it, otherwise Wix is perfect for shorter intervals. The Ea series air filters are very popular and work great but other dry element styles do too. Pisser is you can't get the air filter for the KJ any more, I actually bought out all the remaining stock a while back and probably have the last couple new ones in the world! ![]() |

well yeah it is plug and play. no oil no fuss or muss. I shop vac it out every 10000 miles and throw it back it. With the previous paper filter i found dirt in my filter box and now there is none. but if anyone is buying it for some huge illusive mpg increase then dont because i noticed maybe .2-.4 mgp increase. I got WAY more out of just changing my spark plugs |

The Ea was the best air filter I ever ran... loved the ease of use and seemed to flow better. too bad they don't make them anymore ![]() |

Amsoil stopped making them for the KJ several months ago due to lack of sales. They are still available for other popular makes and models IF they have had good sales of the WIX/Donaldson, etc air filters for that model plus inquiries from potential customers and dealers. I sold hundreds of those filters around the country plus many overseas and wish they still made them as well but unless there was a huge amount of people wanting them now I doubt they would make them again. the AFE PN I found was on carparts.com IIRC. |
