We would like to go west this year and had thought about Colorado. But we'll be too early for most of the trails there. (first full week of June) Any suggestions from those further south where we could find some good off roading? We really do want to go out West again after the great time in Moab last year. Schedule wise l.o.s.t. moab won't work this year.

Come to Cali and we Will set up a run or two for ya. We can hit Big Bear (need to pre-run the trails for our July event anyway) and then Calico for a day. There are plenty of other cool places to wheel and see here too.

If Cali won't work for ya, Hit up the guys and gals in lost AZ. Some awesome trails there for sure!

Although I live in Arizona and like it, I wouldn't recommend visiting here the first week of June. We'll be abck to our furnace like weather. Today it's 91 degrees already. Personally, I'd make the drive to CA or be prepared to have the ac cranked.

for a good long wheeling trip i like to hit hot springs for 2 daqys then drive over to gilmer for 2 days then home
although the drive to hot springs is only 8 hours for me then about 4 to gilmer then 6-8 home
but it makes for some great wheeling and some real good sights

What do you mean too early for our trails? Plowing through snow is fun. Actually, only some trails will have snow.

Hey, thanks guys. We'd love to do Cali but we only have a week plus weekends this year to make a trip somewhere.

TokyoJoe, tell me more about some wheeling spots that are accessable in the beginning of June? So many of the trails in the guide book list the opening as "mid-July."

Jason, tell me about hot sprinkings, gilmer?

If you tell us when you're going to be out here and how many trails you'd like to hit, and we'll find some trails for you to do. We'll even try to get out there with you when you go but during the week will be a problem for some of us.

Thanks for the offer. We are coming west (probably) June 1-11. Our original plan was to use part of that week for Jeep Jamboree here in PA but it was cancelled. So we thought, go west! Sent for some trail books on Colorado and discovered the many of the trails are not open to mid July. So now we're thinking further south, like Sante Fe and Albuquergue. Maybe we should wait till next year for Colorado when we can come out in August.

If you decide on Albuquerque, let me know. Have some buddies there that could take you out to Southern........
