Cut a couple of small blocks of ethafoam (common packing material for electronics like PCs or swimming noodles so if you don't have any should be easy to find) or similar item; carefully drill a matching hole in the fan shroud adjacent to the hole each clip base fit into; thread a UV stabilized zip tie thru each pair of matching holes; place ethafoam block between the zip ties/AC line on top of blocks and secure the zip ties. Total cost maybe $0.25 for 2.
All the clips do is keep the aluminum AC line from rubbing so any decent padding secured between the line and the fan shroud will do just fine.
Worked fine for me.
