Post subject:  tranasfer case leak!! ??
:D i just got my liberty like a month ago. it has the selec-trac 4x4 option .and only has 50k on it. when i bought it the 4x4 had never been used only on snow. well sence i have had it ,i have not used the 4x4 ,and just resontly found that the transfercase has a leek near and around the seal, and bolts! :( has any one had this issue and if you have whats the best way to fix this?

I have the select-trac in an '04. Mine started leaking and it was the rear seal around the drive shaft. It was fixed under warranty. I thought it was leaking from the case where it splits, but it was the rear seal leaking and running down the back of the transfer case. I hope this helps
