So recently my Liberty 3.7 has had some issues that are starting to become more than annoying. I will describe the problem the best I can to get ideas on what it could be. Before though I will tell a little about the Jeep. Its a 2006 with 100k miles. I have a BDS lift kit installed. Around 65k miles I replaced the upper and lower control arms due to them being worn down.

So I have noticed at slow speeds in parking lots I will hear a once per reveloution grind/vibration coming from the front pass side of the truck. Around 45 MPH on a smooth road I can hear there is something as I would call loose. My wife even feels it in the floor board. It sounds like something jiggles when some dips in the road come about. At high way speeds I can tell something is wrong as there is a vibration.

So far I have gone under the car and just used my hands to see if anything is loose. There is nothing I can determine besides I did notice the inner half shaft that meets the transfercase has some play in it. However it does it on both sides. Is that normal? I did some research and found that someone had the same issue with the once per revolution grind and it was their wheel hub. So I replaced that last weekend and the problem still exists.

Im starting to think that I may have two seperate issues going on right now. Any suggetions on what I can check before taking it to a mechanic would be great.

Two things to check next
1) rear boot on the front driveshaft
2) CV/ Intermediate shaft on the right side ( splines wear and makes noise etc )

Here is my experience with the right side CV/intermediate shaft, in case it sounds like yours.

Thanks guys. I inspected my CV last night and after reading the other post this is my problem. Now I won't know if the Int shaft is bad, but assuming it is by the overwhelming amounts of people posting about theirs. I'm ordering both parts today from Napa and will fix it this weekend.
