airbag recall !

ok my 2003 had a recall for possible bag deployment. took it in to fix the problem.. when I picked it up the air bag light was on. I asked why is my light now on after recall service. dodge dealer say that the air bag modulator is bad , and it will be 400.00 to fix it..it was working fine till they did this jumper wire cracker rig.. now I have now airbags...they say it must have been fixing to go out. and it just happened at that time..b,s they wont fix it.. has anybody had this problem ??????

Take it back call Chrysler. Not on when you took it in? But on after service? Did you state it was on when dealer said it was good to go? I don't think liability wise dealer could allow you to leave with it in the above situation. Keep at them.

They said 400.00 to fix...they wont touch it other wise ..call headquarters , they sayed it must have been fixin to go out, and by them putting on there cracker rig ,it must have finished it off....I made a compant with the recaló copia and got a hard copy.. but that is it.. they said there not Fixing it......

Call your attorney general- I can't believe a dealer could allow you to leave without air bags! If you were in an accident they'd be liable. I know the company has changed a lot but they need to eat this cost.

They do not actually mess with the airbag system,they just replace a short piece of harness that adds a noise filter(RF filter) to prevent un-wanted activation.This not a cure or fix to any airbag issue,more for prevention from cell phones.

If you take the steeps I gave you you might get it taking care of. I'm more concerned that a vehicle went in with air bags and came out after service without. And dealer let you leave. The are now most likely liable if you happen to get hurt in an accident.
Assuming air bags would have prevented injury.

BBB is useless. It's your state's attorney general you need to contact.

BBB is useless. It's your state's attorney general you need to contact.
