The Liberty is a great SUV and do last. Once you get up in mileage is when you have to worry about oxygen sensors crapping out and a few more replacement parts.
If the Liberty can be had for cheap, I'd say go for it.
Some things I'd address would be the oxygen sensors, starter, all elements of the heater, and the fluids in the front diff, rear diff, trans, and transfer case.
Your springs and shocks are definitely shot as well at this point unless they've been recently replaced.
In conclusion, don't be afraid to walk away, but at the same time, if it's been taken care of, there shouldn't be too much work on your end.
Thanks for the input. Definitely no fear of walking away - I now that they would be able to make more money if they sold it to someone else, so I wouldn't feel guilty about turning it down. It is the price that is keeping me interested, since I am truly looking for a daily driver that will last me a few years without adding a car payment to my bills

Once I examine the maintenance records and the list of what parts have been replaced I will have a better idea of what to look at,
Sounds like the items you listed should be fairly simple DIY (fluids, O2 sensors, springs, shocks) with the exception of the heater - are we talking about mechanical parts to inspect like the blower/electronics or is there more of a concern on the engine (hose, fluid, raidator) side of things?
Thanks again for the reply!
