Hi, After 45K miles I need to replace my UCA Ball joint in JBA arms as they have warn out and are now leaking grease. I looked on JBA for the replacement and could find the ones with the grease nipple, are the new one non greasable? are they good? Fil. |

Well in the end I ordered from JBA the replacement Ball Joints for my 4.5 arms. Having said that it seams (from the photos & description) they come without greasable nipple, I would have preferred the old ones but there is no option on the site to order them with. Maybe next time in another 45K mile |

All the rubber has split and as you grease them it come out onto the springs. I am not sure what happend, I have had the UCA now over 4 yr. Maybe they got damaged banging against the coils at full extention not sure but the end result is I need new one. tommudd wrote: They have the grease zerk, you can see the hole in the top for the zerk - Thank you for confriming this, I couldn't see from the photo if they did or not 100%, but they are what I was looking for.Fil. |

Wow, Yep good thing you replaced them. Do they use salt on the roads over there? Lots of corrosion going on. |

people that aren't as religious with their greasing tend to do better with no zerk, I usually try to use sealed ujoints because I'm less likely to crawl up under it to grease my ujoints, balljoints on the other hand I'm pretty religious with that, also don't have to lay on the ground to do it guess I'm getting old? |

I recently replaced the ball joint one of my JBA arms due to a torn boot; I bought the Moog joint from a local parts store....Hated it, couldn't get the boot to stay in place. It did not look like the one shown in your pic, it had a red boot... I found that the Dana/Spicer ball joint with the blue boot and retainer ring made into the boot (what came on my JBA arms when I bought them) had been bought out by Raybestos, which was available through Carquest, which is being absorbed by NAPA...that balljoint is now part of the NAPA chassis parts line....I don't know if this will be of any help, being that you're not in "the states", but maybe it'll help someone.... |

My problem with them is getting the part to do that over here in the UK but the extra movement in them (if I have known that before buying the last set) would be great I suppose. Tks, Fil. |
