Post subject:  KK Electronics Question

Had my throttle body replaced and now I have issues with my headlights and 12v power. The headlights stay on during the day even when you switch them off. Also the 12v is now staying on even with the key out of the ignition. Neither of these things happened before I got the repair done. So I brought the jeep back to the mechanic and he said that this is how the jeep is supposed to work. Can anyone shed light on if this is true or is there something wrong with my jeep.

punch that "mechanic" in the face for me! the throttle body has nothing to do with the headlight issue. possibly a daylight sensor malfunction. maybe the switch is stuck on the closed position. or they may have updated your "computer" firmware?

id check that issue out before you punch him in the face for me.

That may not be necessary. pull the battery, I doubt that would do much if anything. but id place a bet on it being a malfunctioning daylight sensor.

had that issue when I first got the jeep in 2013. my issue was the sensor was stuck "open" so the auto mode didn't work. not sure if or how the daylight sensor could be stuck in a closed position.

also, is the issue present across all the lighting modes? even "off".

Yes. And I also disconnected the battery And it didn't fix anything.
