| Post subject: | Internal Lighting problem |
Lately I have been having a problem with the lighting on my control panel and overhead console. Sometimes at slow speeds it seems the dimmer has a mind of its own, and decides to turn the level of brightness up a notch and then after a few seconds it returns to normal. Has anyone else experienced this problem, or is my KJ just starting to come to life? |

It's a well known problem that dates back to the Grand Cherokee. They will have to replace the Multi-function switch or the entire signal/light/high beam lever - unit. I don't think that it is a critical component but it is annoying. I had the same problem and had it fixed under warranty. |

Mine does this too when using the "dimmer" portion of the light level control. When I turned the brightness all the way up until it clicked into the "full brightness" position it stopped. |
