On the 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD we ran into an issues of getting the right hand bolt that goes to the body out far enough to remove the arm.

The muffler is under it. I was able to pull with everything I could get on it while Wyatt removed and installed the bolt.

Just something other CRD owners might run into

On gassers as well to a point, I just use a bar to shove everything over far enough to get the bolt out

On MIne, prying over alone wasn't getting it. I had to hang from the muffler and push myself over. - I weigh in at 250 so I had some weight on it. Good thing the muffler wasn't rotten - or maybe a bad thing. Maybe if I had gotten in the right position and got the right tool or board for the job prying would have worked. But we were working in a shed 100 yards from my tools, and since I had help, hanging from the muffler was the fastest and easiest.

Besides we were already tired of walking from shed to shed for every tool we needed. LOL

We also had to put a board on the front of the rear differential to level it out when we jacked it up to attach the ball joint.
Ball joint nut 70 ft lbs. 3 bolts that hold the ball joint bracket to the rear differential 100 foot lbs. 3 bolts that hold the damper on - 45 ft lbs. The 2 bolts that hold the boomerang to the body 74 ft lbs.

We also had to pry the torsion bar up to get at the bottom left bracket to differential bolt with the impact and torque wrench. I wedged a hammer between the top of the drive shaft and the top of the rear differential after prying it up with the breaker bar handle.

So is this what I want to order now that the Moog failed within 6 months?

Or is JBA's solution more desirable?

Dang. Nobody mentioned JBA when I was posting about what to buy. Maybe next time. Hope the Moog lasts longer than 2 monthes.

Is JBA the best way to go?

Well theres stock, IRO and JBA.

Im doing Clayton style long arms with 4 link, thats the best way.....2" tubing, .25" wall. 1.25" johnny joints, welded truss, 1/4" body mounts, all that fun stuff.

What is IRO? http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merchant ... creen=SFNT ?

I am mostly interested in whatever will last the longest for the least amount of money and or work. The best bang for the buck.

What is Whitbykj's bracket?

Is there a place where I can place one order and get everything I need?

i helped him sketch up and model the bracket in 3D, and then flat patterns to cut out. not sure if he was interested in reproducing it for others or just what...

Are the drawings or dimensions available for those on here that might want to make their own to install the heavy duty IRO arm? :?:

I heard IRO has another option for boomerang replacement.

I am running on replacement bushings welded in the Moog boomerang for now. We'll see how long they last.

Had to spot weld the bushings in. Even though they pressed in, they popped out within a week.

Pressed them in again and put about 3 little tacks on each bushing. Still good as of 1/05/2016
