I was wheeling in some mud and the drivers side strut ripped through the strut plate. Has this happened to anyone else?

any of you guys who have frankenlifts would you be willing to part with your stock strut plate? I will pay for shipping.

Seriously mate, how the hell did this happen ? Have you got pics? If the strut top is bolted to the body with 4 M10 high tensile bolts, I cant see how it would simply 'rip out' ??? (just curious?)

Yes I still need it.

The strut still has the bolt on it. The bolt pulled through the plate. The plate is still bolted the body. When I get the new strut plate I will deff take pics.

We fixed it last night with some washers (ghettooooo) and it seems to be working. It was a $2 fix. We got so angry because it was cold and raining I forgot to take any pics but I will draw you a small pic :D

Ok #1 is where the strut goes through and a bolt goes on top of it. I was wheeling through some super deep mud and pretty fast at that. I hear a pop and some noise like metal poping around. I got out and did a thorough inspection of the whole front end. So we see the strut is crooked in the spring.

Basicly we fixed it by putting washers on the top and bottom of the inner rubber section of the plate. I'm going wheeling tonight to see if it holds up if it does I won't replace it just yet. If it breaks I will buy yours KJ-BOL.

Wow, crazy that it pulled through that. You must of hit a nice bump and unloaded the front suspension really hard.

I will admit I have had the front wheels off the ground before, not that high just a few inches. Also the plate did have 70k+ miles on it.
