Hey all, am I doing something wrong? I replace mine once a year (with the $55 part usually recommended). Just did mine again last week, got about 14 months out of it before it started sticking and rattling again. This is the 3rd one in as many years... :x

I always liberally use the provided grease on both sides, CV band is sealed up tight with ears tapped down, c-clip on and no slop, no abnormal wear on the end of the shaft.

Is the OEM part any better?

change out the diff yoke for a d30 1310 yoke and the transfercase 1310 CV yoke and get ya a custom driveshaft made up.

for the driveshaft call up Curtis
801-685-0056
should run you around $150-200 for the driveshaft

Thanks. If I go that way, I'll try to locate one north of the 49th given our dollar is so low, have been thinking of this for a while now.

Wondering if I am doing the cv-replacement procedure incorrectly.

Maybe it's just the grimy winter road conditions up here (salt sand etc).

No one wheels KJ/KKs in my area, so no one local to ask...

Just wondering what makes you say that they work better, Tom?

I kept going thru the CV heads, about one every 6 months. Went to a 1310 shaft after the front diff yoke splines wore out and got loose. I haven't looked back since and thats been almost 2 years.
