I picked up a used 2005 CRD KJ with a noisy bottom end and very little power. Any ideas on what it could be? I'm thinking big ends and main bearings although I don't know why these would have gone as it's not excessive mileage and doesn't seem to be a common issue - in fact in all my googling I can't find anything on that. Any links on how to remove the engine would be useful before I start pulling parts off that don't need to be. Cheers, Duncan |

Welcome to the board, there is alot of knowledgeable people on here. Hopefully it is not anything in the bottom end, it is a fair amount of work to get it out (i am going thru rebuilding mine, see some of my previous posts) There are several threads on here about pulling the motor, if i can find them i will post links. Also if you can update you location that will help let people know where you are in case there is someone nearby. |
