I can't believe 11 years ago, when I was 16, I purchased & then lifted my first KJ (02 Limited) at Jeepin Al's house during a lift install party. Had to have my 21 year old friend ride shotgun since I only had a permit. All total I've owned 3 KJs and 1 KK. I got out of the "offroad" game for a bit when I got my first motorcycle. I bounced around between NJ and Los Angeles for the past few years and ended up back in NJ for the last year and a half. As winter and hopefully snow is approaching I needed to upgrade from my 94 Geo
I was hunting for used 4wd Jeep for less than $5,000. Going to work one day I see an 03 Freedom Edition not even 5 miles from my house. They were asking $4k for it with 131,000 miles on it. Went in with cash and talked them down to $2500. Not sure if I got a good deal or not but this baby is cleeeeean on the inside. I replaced the high pressure power steering hose ($75), oil change/filter ($55), tires balanced ($60), and hood lift support pistons ($50).
She drives like a champ now. I'm so excited to be back!
