I'm going for this look but on my liberty. Has anyone seen blacked out head lamp covers? or tail light covers?

I have seen them on a WJ but it seems like it would reduce our, already limited, lumination at night. If someone can prove me wrong that it does not reduce it, then I am deffinatly going to tint mine.

They will smoke out your tail lights for $170 and they are still functional when braking/reverse/and just on.

But how about the headlights? How will it affect the front lights? I am thinking about doing this for my tail lights and my turn signals (with new amber bulbs and if its street legal to do).

Ticket here in GA had to get them off or T---- Cop wanted to tow it
as a safety hazard. Don't think they can do that now, but still ticket you

The smoked out headlights and tail lamps with the billet grill would look insane (in a good way)

I'm actually looking for clear tail lights. I've got the clear turn signals, but I'm having trouble finding the tails?

Altezza makes clear + red rear lights. You may also have luck retrofitting an 05/06 taillight (since the 05/06 tail has no amber in it, except the bulb)

I had smoked headlight and taillight covers on my 84 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. Didn't even notice the smoke taillights, but that was in KY where you really don't even need rear taillights. You can just hang a reflective triangle on the back of your vehicle and be legal there. I'm not sure what the VA rear taillight regs are.

But the smoked fronts...whew...YES they diminish your forward vision! Holy cow! It was like driving around with parking lights on. That was a pain. I removed them and put velcro on the mounting brackets and the lenses. After that I could just pull over and take them off with a couple quick rips.

I have not seen blacked-out kits for the Liberty though. You could try to find some smoked plexiglass at the hardware store and make your own.

To smoke your taillights your self, sounds funny doesnt it ? Anyways get a can of NITE Shades from VHT Part number SP -999 its a transparent black taillight lens paint, I used it on the tailights, 3rd brake light and front turn signals, some say to put clear over it but I have always just waxed them 4 or 5 times a year and it still looks great. Have done it on 5 or 6 trucks etc that I have had.
The great thing about it is you can put on just one or two light coats for just a little darker or add more if you want really dark but be careful how dark you get them. I have driven everywhere from here to D.C area, from here to Fl. into Tenn etc with no problems Of course on the can it states For off road use only but then again half the stuff I have says THAT!!

You might be able to find them through this guy.

OK I just found out that Lund International makes them. I found the headlamp covers at Drivewire discount auto parts.

Sure to be other suppliers out there. Have fun, I think it's a cool look too.
