Trying to finish the steering rack install...can't get the steering shaft linkage hooked up. I have the wheels straight and the steering wheel hasn't budged, I secured it from the start. There's a notch on the input shaft on the steering rack that faces down. Where should that notch be? The rack is allegedly centered from the factory (Napa reman). I did a quick measurement and it seems like there's more "rack" sticking out of the passenger side than drivers side. Thanks so much to anyone that can help out! |

I've installed hundreds of racks and have yet to see one that was actually centered from the store. Best way to to count turns and from 1 lock turun half the number and you are centered. |

How would I do that with the steering wheel not connected? Can I just turn the wheels till the shaft and linkage line up right? Or until the rack measures even on each side? |

Got it. Indentation on rack shaft should face passenger side. Thanks for the help! |
