I brought my jeep tent out of the garage to wash and seal b/c Im dying to go camping. I took a few pics for anyone thats thinking about buying it and wants to know what it looks like when its pooping out a kj. I didnt get any pics of the rain fly but you can see it lying on the driveway, or is it the parkway?

HOW COOL IS THIS!! We went to a local Ky state park(Dale Hollow) and I parked beside a durango 5.9 pulling an awsome boat and an 05-06 libby pulling a Jnat(thats what we call them since they are annoying on the lake)!

That tent is a whole lot bigger than I thought it would be. Looks great!

That is a lot bigger than I thought. How many people fit in it?

There is nothing like carbon monoxide to keep you all toasty and warm. :P

That really is a nice big tent. I want one.

So whats the idea here...you can open the rear gate and sleep on the folded down seats, or just have access to the storage in the Lib?

We have slept 5 adults in the main chamber and 3 kids in the smaller chamber comfortably. It is giant! IMHO. The problem is finding a spot to "pitch" it. RV spots work the best if you want to hook your Libby to it.

I had thought about putting people in the little room, but I do not like it b/c its not sealed good. A snake could crawl in or anything.

The big room is 10x10, not sure on the small one. Would be kinda cool to make something to direct the exhaust outside and use the jeep to heat it. But that would use alot of gas and take forever.

I really am trying to understand why anyone would want a car in their tent or attached to it. I have been camping, backpacking, car camping, canoe camping, etc for over 40 years and I can't figure out the car/tent thing.

The concept must have something going for it since I see a lot of people excited about it.

Please help educate me. Thanks.

I guess we are a bunch of kids? Its good if you have alot of people and some sleep in the jeep. You can easily get stuff out of the jeep(not a good idea to keep food in the tent). Use your imagination! :)

I like it because I can use the DC ports in the back, keep the coolers in the back, other junk. Heck, fold down the seats and the kids can camp in the back of the jeep while mom and dad lay in the other parts. You don't have to do the car hookup from my understanding, its just nice to know you can.

It would have been great for a scenario such as I experienced in Zion Nat'l Park back in March...We woke to 3 inches of snow on us and had to pack up each one of our 3 tents and gear individually out in the falling wet snow...talk about a red mud mess...if we had that one tent it would have been great to have the vehicle hook-up...none of the persons gear would have gotten wet...just the outside of the tent of course...BUT..it was still fun to play and pack in the snow.

Wow I never thought about it that way, you could pack up all your gear totally sheltered from the elements. Thats really rad.

I agree with all the above statements regarding the elements. It sucks to try & pack up gear when its wet & muddy :(

Hey I just thought of something else - Its a bit extreme but heck, it would work !! On a ballisticly HOT SUMMER DAY, you could turn on the car's aircon FULL BALL, then zip up the tent with your fellow Jeepers, beers & all, and sit in aircon'd comfort !! lol!! You'd have to make up some exhaust diverter of some sorts of course so you dont get killed lol!!

everyone move back, gotta open the tailgate! It is cool but is it a pain to separate from the truck if you want to make a quick trip somewhere? I like the roof top tents, probably because I think they look so cool with a mountain backdrop in the ads and no worries of snakes or other critters, maybe a rabid giraffe

Lol, thats why it has a separate room to open the gate. It takes about 10sec to unhook from the jeep. Alot less time than it would to fold a big suit case ontop the jeep.

true, the suite case on the roof looks cool but I am sure it is trouble to take down.

I believe a couple people on here have them. Idk how hard they are to take up and down. It may be as simple as opening it up and closing it...Idk...
