I haven't had very many pleasant surprises in this project, but since I can't yet install the FPS valve, I decided to move on to things not checked yet.
Rear differential
I pulled the cover and this is exactly how it came apart.
Oil the color of honey. no chips no shavings just a tiny bit of microscopic powder on the magnet, and ring and pinion that look rather recently replaced!
The cleanest rear cover I've ever seen
UCA bushings. All 4 kinda look like these. Not causing any problem yet and the ball joints are tight.
Is it worth pulling them to put in new, or wait till the UBJs wear out and do the whole thing with JBA?
