Post subject:  New wheel hubs or replace bearings ?

Time to rebuild the front end of the 06 with just over 100k miles

The question is replace the bearings or buy the entire wheel hubs.

JBA has wheel hubs at almost $200 a side .. thats pretty pricey when I can order some from the warehouse for under 90 a side.

Thoughts ? suggestions or better options for purchase.

Thanks

Replacing the entire hub is the easiest and best way to go.
Check your local auto parts store.
I got Moog from Advance Auto Parts for $160 each.

Are you sure you need them?
Do a good inspection.
The only reason I replaced mine were because I had a few studs break off. Bearings were still good.

the hubs are a sealed bearing unit , i'd suggest moog or timken. moog's abs wiring seems to be a little heavier, but they're an all or nothing thing

i think the $200 hubs you may have seen at JBA were either for a different vehicle or a pricing error that has been revised - wheel hub assemblys for the liberty 02-07 on their site currently show 0.00. it may be that they're out, may be that they caught the pricing error and havent been able to correct it, i dunno. but that would be rather uncharacteristic of them considering mopar oem hubs are like.. 150 /ea at the dealer lol

I bought cheap wheel bearings the first time, and they didn't last. Went with Timkens the second time around. Already lasted twice as long as the cheapies.
