Hi Guys,

I have an 02 Renegade and the lense on one of my offroad lights got a pebble through it. I went to the local stealership and thye said the lenses arent sold seperately and that i would have to buy all 4 and some other stuff which was just short of 400 bux. Are these guys BS'ng me or are these things really that expensive? I asked about replacing the lights altogether and they said the same lights arent sold aftermarket and they had some chrome ones... :(

Anybody have some usefull information to offer because I do recall people here buying and placing them on sports earlier on.

Thanks! :)

Poconos huh? I'm from Reading.

I would call around to some junk yards. They are hellas, but darn, you can replace just the bulb, so I can't see why you can't replace just one light assembly.

CHECK THIS OUT!!!

I actually contacted Hella about replacements and they said the lights are only manufactured for distribution through DC. They have no way of selling them seperately.

I dont know about buying just one light assembly but Jparts www.jparts.com has the entire Light bar for $366.38 if you bought that you would have plenty of spare parts if you need them or you could sell them on Ebay or post them on LOST. Either way its better then paying the dealer $$. Maybee you can call Jparts, they are a dealer in Reading PA, and ask them if you can buy just the one light. Good luck let us know what happens.

I've heard of that before. Worse was that you can't even buy the lens COVERS individually. You have to buy the whole everything. That's one of the reasons I will be getting aftermarket lighting instead of the mopar lightbar. At least aftermarket lights can be replaced and repaired on the cheap.

Yup, people install them all the time. You can buy a kit that includes all the parts, it costs just under $400 :-P <s>It really sucks that they don't sell individual parts.</s> [EDIT: apparently they do!]

I suggest going back to that dealership and stealing a lens off one of their floor models. Leave them a ransom note saying:

"I hAvE YuOR L1GhTB4R LenZ. S311 Me oNE f0R a DeCeNt pRiCE aNd iT w1ll bE rEtUrnED"

Or better yet, take the whole lightbar off and sell it on eBay. Say "One of the lenses is cracked, but I think it should be pretty cheap to get replaced at a dealership" :-P

I'm such a bad person...

Did anyone look at the link I posted? It's from www.jeepparts.com. According to their site, you can buy just the lense, for ~$19.
