I've got a front end noise and a bit of vibration at the floor when driving around a right hand turn above speeds of about 45 mph. There really doesn't seem to be present when driving straight or turning left. I haven't dug into the issue yet, but could this be a wheel bearing failure?

Usually when a front wheel bearing starts going bad, they make a roaring sound that gets louder with speed. Vibration is not normally one of their symptoms of going bad unless it is catastrophic.
Most time you can jack up the vehicle and spin wheel by hand and feel roughness of a bad wheel bearing.
Since yours only makes noise and vibrates on right hand turns, I would suspect one of the CV joints is bad. I would inspect them very closely and feel for any looseness.
Let us know what you find!

Just checked the CV shafts. Both are loose where the slip into the front axle housing. The passenger side is much worse than the driver side.

Is there a preferred source for new CV shafts?

Napa remaned and make sure you replace that intermediate shaft on the right side, common source for your issue.

After finding that I'm sure that's the issue. Front brakes need some work so I'm thinking about changing both shafts while I'm in there.

Are there any associated parts that should be changed like seals or bearings?

Change any seals that you have access to for sure!
Bearings/bushings depending on how much play or looseness you feel...

(2 required each L&R) [only if you do both sides?]
SEAL. Axle Drive Shaft. PN: 05066066AA
BEARING, BUSHING. Axle Shaft.PN: 05066056AB
Items 5 & 6 on diagram.

If there is bearing where the CV shaft slides into the axle housing I've got concern it's going to be trashed based on how loose the shaft is.

Just looked at the part numbers from WW. The bearing (or bushing) looks to be a nylon bushing?

Yep, looks like PN 05066056AB is a hard non-metal material!
It replaces PN 05066056AA

Using the original PN, found them in metal, PN: 05066056AA $18 bucks.
Search for Omix-Ada 1653632 Axle Shaft Bearing

So I have my first shaft out and I think I have bigger problems. Cross shaft came out with it and is stuck. And it's also loose like the play I was finding. I see there is a half of a snap ring on the other end too.Image

Yep, looks like you will be opening up the differential to see what is going on! (big picture)

It is very common for the intermediate shaft to be stuck to the right side CV shaft. This is why it was suggested you replace the intermediate shaft with the CV shafts earlier in the thread.

Apparently I glossed over that part. Is there any root cause?

I didn't bother taking apart the other side as I was doing this at my place of work. Is it possible this one is stuck together also?

Any opinions on these shafts from Rock Auto? Is it better to stick with Molar?Image

The other side (drivers side) does not have a half shaft! The CV joint shaft inserts directly into the carrier in the differential so there is nothing to stick!

Spray some penetrating oil on the splines. Clamp the intermediate shaft and give the cv a whack with a rubber mallet, it'll come apart. Might still need replacement though.

So here's where I'm at with this. I have everything tore down and drained with the differential cover off. Oil looked clean, not pieces of anything. No moisture. Looked over the spider gears and carrier. No chips anywhere. Bearings all feel smooth. Ring and pinion and spider gears all look good.ImageImageImage

Everything is put back together, with the exception of the skid plate. I want to find a better hose clamp for the vent line.

Anyway, just came back from a test drive and all seems good. Going around right hand turns now I'm left with a gentle whirring noise which it has been doing for a while and I have yet to find.

I did end up using the Omixada shaft from Rock Auto. It seems to work OK. Much more cost effective than a Mopar shaft.

Word of caution though for changing the axle bushings. They are very brittle. I ended up breaking one of mine trying to put into the housing.
