Was driving my '06 Liberty Sport back to Denver from the Eisenhower Tunnel this past Thanksgiving and this happened in front of me. Got new tires about 3 weeks before and new brake pads 2 weeks before.

Probably unnecessary to mention, but I'm glad that this video shows the speed limit sign, MY speed on the Dash Cam, how much distance I'm giving to the car in front of me and that I stopped from 47 to 0 in time to avoid collision.

Thank you ABS. PHEW!

Nice job avoiding that collision! Good reminder. Stay safe out there!

Curious about your dash cam. Should we all have one?

Here is the Dash Cam I bought: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0746BCFBF/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
A month after I bought my Liberty earlier this year, I was at a stop light waiting for green. I was about 3 cars back from the intersection and a car rear ended me. He was going like maybe 5-10mph, coming to a stop but was distracted on his phone as he came closer and closer to me. He just didn't notice how close he was until it was too late. Yeah, I was plenty pissed.

With that being said, do I think you should have one? Yeah. Why not, right? I look at the dash cam as a pseudo 2nd insurance policy. IF something were to happen, I like the idea of having video footage JUST IN CASE. But, most American auto insurance companies don't give you any type of discount or kudos for having them. Hopefully in the near future that will change. Until then, I'm going to do what I can to protect my vehicle as best as I can with what is available.
