In 2002-2004 Jeeps where is the TPMS training magnet stored? No one seems to know they exist.

It is in the jack mount. The plastic mount for your jack. It is a donut shaped item.

So how is the magnet used? I get a TPM error on my overhead console all the time, but the display is accurate every time I check it. Is is supposed to display the spare pressure too? Mine just shows the 4 on the ground.

If you have the EVIC, it will say the pressure for the four tires and only tell you if the spare is low. The manual explains the procedures on setting the TPMS and once you start, the EVIC tells you which tire to do in a certain order.

Set the EVIC to Retrain Tire Sensors. The order will be front left, front right, rear right, rear left, and spare. You have 60 seconds to train the first tire and 30 seconds after that. The horn will beep to let you know the sensor is trained.

If you lost the magnet the Jeep came with you can use an old car speaker or other strong magnet.

Mine does too. Tells the individual pressures on the evic and everything.

It can get annoying if you get new rims but I really like that option. It wow's a lot of people thats never been in a car or Jeep thats had it.

Yes, my wife loves reading the tire pressure and all the other goodies on the EVIC. Seriously, it kinda puts me in a bind because I want MOABS. Does anyone know if Moabs will work with the system? Isn't each tire sensor in the valve stem?

They should. You can also buy spare sensors on ebay. I just bought 4 of the right sensors from a Pacifica owner for $43 delivered.

They work just fine on my moabs. I took them out of the old tires and put them in the moabs myself.

Kinda tricky breaking the bead but I found my own little method. :)

They work fine with my Moab's too. Tell your tire guy that they are in there though. I heard a tale of one that got bashed with a bead breaker or something. I didn't think that they stood out from the rim very far, but I have never seen them installed either.

Thanks guys, I'm hoping to have a set of 5 Moabs tomorrow. I guess I will go to the dealership and order the wheel sensors.

Well, I finally got the Moabs. If I buy the factory lug nuts that came with the Moabs, will they fit the thread pattern on my KJ?
