Ok people, I have a question that I desperately need an answer for....

When driving (or riding in the passenger seat) my KJ long distances, say an hour or more, my legs go dead and fall asleep. I think the front of the seat (underneath my knees) is to high by about an inch and cuts off the blood supply. I am only 5'3" and have short legs. Anyone know how to fix this problem without resorting to aftermarket seats?

I take it you don't have the electric seats? They adjust up/down, slant forwards/backwards and move forwards/backwards, all from the same lever adjustment. You should be able to lower them pretty low or slant it slightly forward to fix that.

I think you can take the seat foam out possibly and cut it low enough for it to suit your comfort perhaps, I remember actually having to reattach my fabric to my passenger seat on my '05 KJ RME because it came undone underneath the seat, I could feel the "foam" up there, so maybe that could work, not sure if it would effect your air bag sensoring ability though??

kjs have a system called PODS, at least that's what vw calls it. It stands for Passenger occupation detection system. It is extremely calibrated for weight and if you cut the foam you could end up altering (which is extremely dangerous) the weight ratios. Instead you could have custom rails made.
