JC Whitney has a decent sale going on with hitches this summer...so I plan on buying a package. In the catalog it states that I need a 'power converter' is this true?? It states something about harming the on board cpu if the power converter is not installed. It's kinda spendy 50 bucks so I wanna make sure I need it. Thanks a bunch guys.

You need a converter to convert between separate tail and brake lights on the KJ to single brake/tail bulbs on the trailer.
