I rented an '04 and drove it 600 miles before I bought an '06. I had the same complaint with the 'o4 as well as trying to find someplace to fit my feet. The '06 is not a problem but I know that there is a difference in the floor in '05/'06 so I don't know if it is the seat or the floor that fixed it for me. |

yea you know I've kinda noticed a difference b/w my '05 and now my '06...it seems like the seat is lower to the floor of the KJ or the roof got higher, and the seat seems more comfortable then b4 for some reason (i don't see why Jeep would all of a sudden just change their seat manufacturer unless i guess they really felt like making a difference in that department), i'm also going to have to fabricate something to rest my left foot on down in that footwell, i can't stop moving it aound since there is nothing for me to rest it on... |

Uncomfortable seat complaints seem to be coming from the Sport crowd. My 04 Limited leather seats are muy comfortable for all day driving. But at 6'3 220 I wish they'd go back just a bit more. |

I find the seats in my 05 Sport to be quite comfortable. Have sat in the Jeep 18-20+ hours during several road trips and aside from my butt falling asleep ![]() Don't see why you couldn't swap 05 seats into your 02? I will let the more mechanically inclined fellas around here confirm that. What about seat covers? Depending on the material and thickness, might ease some stress on the legs? Just a thought and cheaper then a seat swap. Mike |

But at 6'3 220 I wish they'd go back just a bit more. For me its not a matter of seat comfort specifically, but the seat bottom and its flat positioning. You having a Limited have power seats, correct? I'd like to be able to lower the rear portion of the seat bottom and I would most likely have no more problems of any kind with comfort ![]() RockyMtEditionKJ wrote: i'm also going to have to fabricate something to rest my left foot on down in that footwell, i can't stop moving it aound since there is nothing for me to rest it on...

My seats (03 Rennie) were killing both me (5'10" 215) and my GF (shorter and much less!) and I found that when we put them all the way to the extremes (back and down) and then started moving them in increments, we eventually each found a position that worked well for our sides of the Jeep. Try out a different position each time over a couple of decent length rides. |
