hello! this may be a dumb question but the next mod im saving up for is a snorkel. Im wondering since I converted my air intake into a v6 one (old one cracked junkyard has many v6s) should I get the snorkel for the gas liberty's? Thanks!

Hmm, Which models are you considering?

I don't think it matters. The snorkels I've seen require you to cut a big hole in the right front fender and the air box. That side of the air box is the same for both gassers and CRD's.

Thanks for the input, that’s what I figured too but safari snorkel and alibaba both have different models for both gas and crd Libbys. I wonder what the difference is. I’m prolly leaning towards alibaba I got quoted $300 for one, it’s a piece of plastic might as well save $200 they claim it’s made from LLPDE.

I did some research before I got one. Worked out that one for a Mitsubishi diesel would fit. They call them Pajero's in Australia. It was about 1/4 the price of a Safari KJ one. I was able to plumb it to the inlet of the diesel air cleaner. Cutting the hole is a bit of a worry. Very gently with a hole saw on a drill.
It needs to have a very long horizontal section. That limits your choices.
