HELP! My roof is rotting through!
My 2005 Liberty CRD has a very SERIOUS rotting roof! I've already been to 2 body shops and had it spot repaired best as possible - cutting out rotten sections, tacking in new steel and paint.
But its getting worse, keeps growing! Continues from the last patch area. The rust is all on the inside of the roof.
Mine has a sunroof. IDK if this helped with the rust condition.
I'm really scared as I might loose this perfect operating Jeep, bought it new.
Body shop gave me a crazy quote of 9K + to replace the whole roof.
Is there any other solutions to patch her together?!
I don't care if the sunroof is gone. I'd vinyl wrap the whole roof but that won't hold if the metal keeps cracking and collapsing under it. :(

Did you ever find out what was causing it? I have found a spot of bubbling paint on the roof of my 06 CRD. I already find the sunroof pretty much useless considering how loud it is even with the glass closed above 45-50 MPH. If this is a sunroof issue, I might consider cutting out the sunroof and welding in a piece of steel.

Sorry - lateeeeeeee reply.
It's just rusting from the inside. I already paid an auto body guy for 2 repairs $$$$$
Now - I just do my own repair. It cracks, I grind it out clean, treat the steel, mud n rattle can it. I can't be worried about showroom quality. I'm keeping this Jeep, Period! The only fix it once is finding a clean wreck and cut out the entire roof - big job and bucks. I'll just keep patching it up.
