The M bolt feeds up through the double unthreaded holes and back down and the small bolt goes into the single threaded hole. The area is tight as hell, a wand type air ratchet would be easiest or those box wrenches with one side that can ratchet.

I guess I don't have a m-bolt, I have a flat metal plate that is not going to go into the holes it must be the factory install setup. So that probably means I need to get the m-bolt or have The dealer install it. Thanks for the help.

I have the flat metal plate as well. I just bought the hooks from kevh on the board here. Maybe he could shed some insight on how he uninstalled them. I was looking today (gonna get some Hella's tomorrow and install them first) and it looks like the entire front bumper coming off would be the only way to do it with the flat plate. I may be wrong, but if kevh could maybe explain.

Yeah i think pulling the bumper is the only way. I just called my dealer and they said they sell the M bolts for the hooks for 2 bucks a peice. I just ordered a couple of those so I won't have to pull the bumper. They wanted 175 dollars to install them by pulling the front fascia.

Just installed my tow hooks. You need to remove the front bumper and two little metal blocks off after the bumper is removed to slide the plate in.
