Anyone know if there is a big performance difference between the $250 - $300 AEM cold air intakes and say the $50 Ebay specials that look exactly the same? With a lift and tires coming up it would be cool to not have to drop several hundred dollars on a cold air intake... BTW, this is my first post and I am pretty stoked to have found this site! Thanks for any advice, -Ryan |

Yeah, your 05 comes with a IAT sensor near the throttle body, started on the 04's. That junk on Ebay will not accomodate the IAT sensor, and your computer will be unable to adjust properly to the "Incoming Air Temp" and throw it all out of wack. Those people on Ebay say "works on 02-to-05" It's a load... Even the big boys, some of their stuff won't fit, "because of lack of demand". Hope that helps. |

The K&N FIPK gives me an extra 1-2 mpg and is legal in CA where the cheapos are not. |

Hmm... Yea, I saw the air sensor hookups on the AEM one but you are correct I dont see it on the Ebay specials. I guess this too will be added to my saving to buy parts list. Thanks for the feedback! |
