Well.. I was leaving work one day and the battery light came on and then went off.. Didn't think much of it.. But it happened again to my wife... So I took the multimeter and checked the battery.. All seemed fine.. But it happened to me this week again and took it in... I needed the 12,000 mile service so I took in and had them do everything at once.. They called back around 4:30PM and said it was the alternator.. They had to order the part.. It will be in on tuesday of next week..
But I have to give my dealership (Plug - Rick Hendrick Jeep in North Charleston, South Carolina) 2 thumbs up..

My wife came and picked me up at work.. It was at 5PM.. We ended up running late because of traffic... We called them to just leave the keys at the sales desk and we will pick up the KJ.. The service guy said no.. I will be here when you arrive.. Sure enough.. They were closing and he was there with our KJ.. He handed us the keys.. He said the alternator is slowly going.. It is charging but at low speeds such as traffic it doesn't charge.. And if you have your lights on with the wipers and the defroster it will tax the system to were it won't charge at idle.. So.. That means no driving in the rain in heavy traffic.. LOL
