Not sure what to say, it looks just OK, but need to find out what they plan to put under the hood, then discuss.

I love it the styling, very bold, but they kept the boxy shape of the CLASSIC broncos and thats what i like most. Yeah it would be interesting to see IF they decide to produce it and what will go under the hood...their new super duty diesel(too bad its big than the bronco itself) or a big V6?

one of the early commets was a 4 cylinder Turbo diesel - Which I though was a great idea - but it's a long way from concept to production.

I think it was also front wheel drive - that can engage the rear - like the Escape

DO they use the same company to release these concept pictures?
Jeep's got very similar shadow/fade etc.. on their trailhawk pix.

Very nice vehicle, but it should be a four door.

It looks like it could be made removable with little changes.

I like it, the front end is a little off for me though I think it needs a bumper all the way across or something.

All I will say is "pipe dream"
Ford will never stray away from the comfort zone that they are in

Think I am wrong then look at the trend
Explorer replaced Bronco 2
Bronco 2 was about as close to a good size "trailable" rig since the "big body" broncos replaced the 70's model body style
this happened in '78
the explorer was OK in a 2 door model until '95 when they went fully IFS then the problems started with that stupid idea of Torsion bars
then at some point ,'05? maybe, the explorer went fully indipendent suspension and is hardly even mall rated
now enter the Sport Trac
I am not sure on dates and that stuff ,the book I have for that does not list them?
It had/has a good following and like the Explorer has Torsion bar IFS problemmatic but it works
then in '07 ford in their infinant wisdom decided to take their last hope at compeating for even a small slice of the offroad pie and throw it in the drain with
Yup fully independant suspension

Now take a hard look at Fords SUV's and what they have become ,from one of the only things to ever compeat with jeep, to 100% mall crawler
and every one is worthless off road ,IMO

I can not ever see this thing coming to light and if it should you would be lucky to see it with a solid rear axel let alone front and rear
at best it may be an Escape with some excuse for skid plates and 4wd

Say what you want but I can not under stand why the American automotive market is avoiding what could be a good market and producing junk
sure the 2 door JK is good and the 4 door on 37's can follow a stock 2 door but they are even getting a little to big for the trail
The KJ is fine for the "weekend wheeler" but for a good trail ride it is to limited again IMO
The Patriot has no 4lo ,that saw when I looked at 1 on the lot only an AWD system, so trails are out
H3 well what can I say?
That leaves the imports
FJ ,well in the articales I read it is faster to go and stop than the jeep's gets better MPG has very close angles and the Toyota quality
it also fits right between the 2 door and the 4 door wrangler
now when compared to the Rubicon the jeep has lower gears but when compared to say a sport or other model they are almost the same when it comes to crawl ratio
and the Extera
I dont know much about them but the seem to have a good market and about the same after market as the KJ but at least Nissan makes it for what it will be used or should be

All this is my oppinion so I welcom replies

Just give me a early Bronco like the 69 I had, 302 V8 (yes that got better mileage than the Liberty does now), headers duals, automatic, air, roll up yourself windows,no carpet, could remove the hardtop and yes I had a softtop for it, spare on the back, 3 inch lift I would be camping at the dealership waiting for it to be unloaded from the carrier. Oh sure i would do the headers, lift etc myself I just want the basic vehicle. OH and NO electronic crap on it

Yes rub it in noscapegoat!
Yours does look good for sure! I keep looking around but know that I am going to have to go west or south to find anything worth dragging home. I have had 4 so far and loved everyone of them, oh plus 2 full size but the old bobtails (pre 77) are the best.

Yuck....

I agree on the american car market. The core problem is that there are only a certain number of niches for vehicles. As far as comfort and refined platforms go, Japan and Germany have that nailed down. So, does America tackle the rest, such as off road rigs, trucks, midsize fun vehicles, "american" muscle?

NO

We try to tackle the Japs and Germans head on with crap like the Ford Edge, 500, etc etc. We cannot even build a good truck anymore because GM and Ford insist on recycling parts and incorporating NO innovation, unlike Nissan and Toyota who are now solidly kicking booty. We can't even do "American" muscle right anymore.....instead of building a real GTO, we recycle a dated, bloated Australian sedan and rebadge it!!!!

Don't get me started on the new Camaro. If it comes out and looks exactly like the preproduction and has the 400hp V8, we will talk, but just you wait....the will "generify" it to appease to the rental car crowds. Imagine how much cooler and better looking the Mustang would be if the designers had gotten their way, but no....they were told to tone it down. And the Corvette??? You take a gem of an engine and surround it with the worst Tupperware that GM could find.

So, will this small trail rig come out with hitech, efficient V8, solid axles, waterproof interior, and a kickass demeanor that could wipe the floor with a Rubi? NO, it will be stripped down to a high school parking lot cruiser.

Sad.

I seen this at an auto show this spring here in Edmonton. It was pretty darn sweet.

Now I just wonder, where can I get a set of Rims like that? :P

That concept vehicle first came out in January 2005. I saw it at the auto show and it was impressive but I think Ford has no intension of building it. For crying out loud the Ford Ranger was due for a make over over a decade ago. I would have bought one over my Libby but Ford is just lazy. I put it up their as one of my favorite concepts ever. My others are:
