I spotted this Caddy at a motel in GA. Not really sure if I like it or not.

Well I'm sure I don't like it. I say to myself "what were they thinking."

I guess "interesting" is a good word here. It just seems to be over done.

Ok, so let's examine this enema of a vehicle.......

First, GM takes a SUBURBAN and puts caddy regalia on it. Weird and lazy.

Second, they take the suburban, chop off the back end, and turn it into an odd hybrid truckbed that is too small to be useful, with a leaky plastic "midgate" (purpose?!?) and then add useless plastic buttresses. Plastic-Fantastic and Tupperware indeed.

Third, they take this ugly vehicle, practically weld the truck bed shut with plastic finery, thereby eliminating ONE of only TWO things a suburban is good for, a people mover. It is effectively a 4-5 seater now, with all that extra chassis lugging it down.

Fourth, they paint it with pearlescent paint, which looks pimp-a-licious and cannot take any abuse whatsoever.

And that is stock GM.... sometimes I REALLY hate american cars, and they truly embarrass me from time to time. I always hate american car designers. Drive an Audi or Honda and understand why we don't have a chance. But that is another topic.

THEN this asshat puts on all those UGLY lower fairings, which means this vehicle can never really go offroad, eliminating the final thing a suburban is good for, an offroad 4x4 people mover! Dont forget the FAKE engine heat vents on the side, the exposed fog light bulbs, and the plastic shrouded exhaust. Jesus, this guy is a rocket surgeon.

So, in conclusion, we have an ugly, useless, heavy, tacky, pavement dwelling gas waster with no real function other than daily driver to and fro.

Sad.

EDIT GAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! I just noticed the fake Ram Air! And he has Dale Earnhart, and a golfball, meaning a WHITE GUY drives this!!!!! GAAAAH!!!!!

Yep, it was a man and wife from Canada about 65 years old. Your right about the hood scoops, they were fake along with the holes on the side that was taken from a Buick. How can they call it a Sports Utility Vehicle? It's a vehicle but that is where it ends.

sorry about the rant, because I am all about personal expression, but I can't take tacky cars. Every single front wheel drive family sedan that some asshat thinks is a racecar with its coffee can exhaust and large wing on the back (which makes NO sense of a FRONT wheel drive car) I think should be tossed in the car compactor, driver inside.

Same goes for brutha-man with his 87 Oldsmobile with a 3 inch lift to fit 35" wheels. Ridiculous and silly.

I toss this guy into that catagory. Ugly useless heavy car (this truck has been neutered, and is now a car)

Poor thing.

On second thought, I bet that since he's 65, he probably was talked into getting this car used.

Looks like any kinda fender bender will cause things to fall apart.
Like a balloon. To some extend I like these things, but this is too much.

12 owners...... funny

12mpg....... $120 a week

A used car salesman convincing a confused 65 year old man that this shiny new vehicle is what all the "well heeled" people drive?

Priceless.

People must roll their eyes when he pulls up to the links.

Ill bet it smells like gun oil and weed.

PPS you know, it looks so shoddy, that I do think one fender bender and it will fall apart like that Saturn where the asian guy pounds on the dash.......know which one Im talking about?

I don't think big rims should be on an SUV or truck. Big rims really look good on some cars like the chrysler 300.

Yeah, that car was designed to have big rims. They actually are pretty nice cars, and the SRT-8? Wow...
