The Freedom top is 3 parts. The two front panels can be removed in minutes. The rear section, is secured b 8 #40 torx screws. Remove those, disconnect wiring harness and tube for rear washer/wiper and lift off. The rear section weighs about 95 pounds. My 12 year old son and I were able to lift it off. Some are lucky enough to have a garage and a hoist system. In all, probably takes less than 10 minutes to get totally topless.

Excellent - thanks. Hope to have a 2008 X in the garage next spring and I'm 99% sure I'm going with the Freedom top.
