Having a break from fitting new front prop to my wife's KJ so I thought I'd upload a few pictures of my 4x4.

Its a 1981 series 3 landrover full rebuild with a ford 3.0 litre V6 petrol engine. Mach 5 rims, disc conversion to front axle, stainless system plus cherry bomb and loads of other stuff. Soon to have a gearbox out of a defender (D90). Work in progress all the time. Its on full leaf springs too...only restriction is the wheels catch on the arches - need to reprofile to get the next inch and a half

as you can see...

Its not got the bikini top now, I put a cab on, rains too much over here :x

To prove we also have jeep (currently a stocker crd)

Oh yeh, had engine polished during rebuild, since it was all in bits anyway

enjoy!

Wow - that's a cool Landrover
we can't find many D90's around here - they didn't import many - so not many customs either.
Looks great.

Very cool! Is that a can of Red Bull mounted on the firewall of the D90? Does it give you wings? LOL!!

I'd love to get a low-rust defender 110 with a 300TDI in it. Unfortunately, it's near impossible to get one imported legally and there were only the EFI "NAS" models sold in the US (which have chronic electrical problems). I suppose getting a diesel wrangler in a few years when they start offering them will come close :)

Landrovers are very common over here and almost all oil burners. Lots of people do V8 conversions especially with the older (pre '84) models as well as modding them for various offroad pursuits. My own particular interest lies with the leaf sprung models from the '60s+. Don't think I'd have a newer one (D90 type), too many quality issues and over priced for what they are :x

You can buy the rims over here, I had mine made to order to a back-spacing I preferred.

Thanks for the comments 8)
