i had to look all over the state of tx to find a quad cab long bed with a cummins & 6 speed, single rear wheel.

apparently there wasnt too many of them made.
i bought it used with 114k miles on it.
awesome truck. will never go back to gas powered trucks

look around there are a few good deals to be had ( if you want an auto )

:P

I spent quite a bit of time looking for a good used tow rig just to have the wife nix it. It had something to do with not being able to afford anything greater than $10k and my wanting something along the lines of $25k. I don't know what she was talking about though, I mean, I could have lived off of ramen and mac'n'cheese for 5 years ... sheesh!

my son had one of those (automatic though) - he loved it - changed jobs - couldn't afford it anymore - now he's got a Ford

They're great trucks - and diesel is better (try some Bio-Wille - makes it smell different)

FYI - did you find gmctd over in the CRD forum? - lots of good information.

i ran across cumminsforum.com which is dedicated to all year model dodges that came with a cummins, so there's more info on that site that i could ever go through.
believe they have over 30k members.

did learn i had a nv5600 manual tranny, but not sure what the transfer case is.
anybody take a guess ?

it looks similar to the one on my kj, but 3x the size.

No, but it specifically says PICS OF OTHER JEEPS OR 4WDS at the top of the forum. It's not brand-denominational.

SWEET truck!

Might try CTDregistry.com, too. Years ago when I had my CTD that was a good source of info.

Nice truck.

got a few plans for it. about to cut the cat and muffler off and have a straight pipe put on it. getting a valair dual disk clutch as well, and a few gages to monitor the vitals.
eventually want to get a smarty jr and stack that with the edge box.
should be good for 450 hp. that'll be enough.

is placing a straight pipe on it going to affect the backpressure for the turbo and the engine? Will it cause the valves to float i guess is my question? I know that it'll make it F-in loud and a sooter! :P good luck with modding... :P my dad just put 315 BFGs and a leveling kit on his powerstroke...totally different beast now with the Magnaflow cat-back as well

no back pressure affected. the turbo is providing the back pressure, so it should have a positive effect along with the 6" air intake im putting on there at the same time.

only tim i have heard of someone floating the valves on a cummins is when they were pushing the motor above 4k rpm's.
