stock turbo multi fuel engine...53 inch tires.... 2.5ton rock well axle...that's all i know...if it had a slower gear in it i would take it up some rocks...i can't believe that he ramped it...shows you how strong those axles are...

Just thinking here (wine induced), but if it was built to push over 13,000 pounds, and he subtracted it down to 6,000 pounds.

Would the driveshaft, and things of that nature be able to hold it's stability? You know what I mean?

Like if you kept increasing HP, and Ft/Lb TQ, on a car, eventually, the axels, and driveshaft will snap. Does this apply to this?

For every pound you take off, you are freeing up power.
I'm sorry, I have been drinking and thinking.

well all the weight he took off was on top...it did have a second rear axle on it but he cut that out to make it a 4 wheeler, not 6...that alone would make it weigh less...i know it is able to turn everything more freely but those are rock well axles...they are not braking...i think it would hold up

He should at least build some kind of roll cage for it though. You know, just in case.

I love these things. I saw a finished "monster4x4" as the guy called it. A deuce cut down to a 4 wheeler. Looked amaaaaaaaazing! Kept it olive drab, of course. These things go kinda cheap, too. Do it yourself projects start around $3-6k. Fully done ones go for about $25k if I remember correctly. (the bobbed 4x4's with the 53's)

a slower gear?? Man my m35 in low, 1st gear puts a KJ to shame as far as speed and torque, but I guess him having about 10" of tire on me may change things...

Loose the drums on those rockwells and you will drop close to 1000lbs alone. If it's not a street driven just add pinion brakes on the diffs, more then enough stopping power if it's a trail only rig.
