Hey everyone! More wheeling going on up here in Alaska. This time we made it to the glacier, but getting there was a little bit more eventful for everyone. Here are a few pics, and the rest are at the link on the bottom.

Getting across the big creek

Rubicon broke throught the ice. We had quite a ways of this. A good number, myself definately not exempt, had quite a time getting through there. Slick ice to walk on too.

FJ-Something-or-other. Just my favorite pic from the trip.

More of getting across the big creek.

Sorry, they're not in order. (I tried, but failed miserably)

It actually wasn't that bad until we got to the glacier, then it was really windy and cold. Good boots and a warm coat and you're good to go. And leave the jeep running with the heat blasting helps a litle too...

God, I miss AK!!! I spent 3 years up there, in Anchorage and I just loved wheelin' out there with my '89 Ramcharger. I'm in CO now, in a KJ but i sooo miss the frigid north!!!

I like the picture of them holding on the that poor tree. Guess it was strong enough to keep them from falling.

It's an amazing place, you can litterally point a camera in any direction without looking and still take a beautiful picture!

I love the pics. I wheeled Knik with some buddies who used to live up there, a couple of years ago. I have never been so cold in my life as when I stood next to that glacier with the wind coming off. Did you go up to Butcher Baker's cabin on the cliff? And is there still a blue subuaru stuck in the river on the access road in? Can't remeber the name of the club, I think it was Kodiak off road. Anyway I know one of the guys is still up there. Does Curtis ring a bell? Probably the only black guy with a cut down XJ in the whole state. That trip was some of the best wheeling I have ever seen. If only the wife could get a job up there we would move.
