It feels weird to be in this section...but here she is my 1980 CJ-7, new 258 I6 2bbl, 4 speed, Dana 300 transfer case Dana 30 front and AMC 20 rear, original hardtop. :D I am her second owner...Love at first sight.

We just had to start toying with it right away  ...That carpet had to go. No rust though! Spray in bedliner is on it's way in  So what do you think?

ALL RIGHT!!! Now you have something to go rock-crawling with! Guess you'll need to go out with the gang to see what she can do.

Put the lifetime LOST sticker on last night, it looks really good! Stayed up until 4am toying with it, put a tach in there, got the radio working...the speakers were in BAD shape and finding 5.25" speakers was not easy. Just did A LOT of little things to it. It gets moody when you hit the gas hard and when it is cold. I think there is a flat spot in the carb so we are going to go back out and work on it again.

Thanks guys, I thought that the CJ had a face only a mother could love. I can't even believe how many comments I get when driving it.
It really was a needle in a haystack find. After we replaced the carb it and changed the timing it runs great!
If it goes missing I think I have a lot of people to blame...one of my friends already took it, got home from school (drove the Liberty) and the CJ was gone :x . He was the first person I called to blame.
She'll be ready for a trail soon...actually she's all ready, I need to learn the four speed tranny a little better then I'LL be ready

Yeah, thats from living a life in the desert southwest. Rust is a seldom seen thing unless you go thru a lot of water all the time or if you actually live somewhere that its cold enough to snow a lot.

Very nice!

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for that jewel?

Thank you! I paid $5,700.00 for her. The only repair needed is the new carb...which I am starting to rebuild today :D . I could have gotten one for cheaper, but they would of had rust, and most of them didn't have new motors in them. Plus I was looking for one that was stock because I agree with the saying that Jeeps aren't bought, they are built

Have we met? You are awful nice to say that! I actually kinda look like a goof though. I have to sit so far up when I drive it so I can get the clutch all the way down :? . Oh well, it is still great to drive!
