Post subject:  About my Chevy...

Hi!

Like I already said, I have a '91 Chevy Suburban. I bought it in a pretty bad condition.
The car it have a K 20-25 body style, LL4 6.2 diesel engine, 4L80-E 4-speeds automatic gear box, NP241-C transfer case, GM Corporate 10bolt 8.5' front axle, GM Corporate 14bsf 9.5' rear axle, factory suspension with quad shocks in front, 235/85R16 BFG AT factory size tyres on 16x6.5 factory rims.

Here is what I bought!

After a while, in fact, after pretty much time, a lot of body works and painting, the Chevy, start to look good enough!

After painting!

In time, with a lot of parts replaced with new parts bought from US and many hour of work, my Suburban start to look like a Suburban... or, quite close of my vision about a Suburban!

This is how it look now!

But, don't worry! Will not stay like this for ever! I have big plans with him; as somebody else said: off-road tuning never end; only money ends! :frankie:

Nice, the square bodied Chevy trucks/SUV's are my favorite. The 6.2 isn't the best for performance, but can be upgraded some. Check out dieselplace.com for some upgrades. The drivetrain is pretty good too, with the 4L80 and 14 bolt rear. They can be lifted pretty cheap too, put a 3" suspension lift on my 87 K5 blazer for about $500 total and with some 33's it looked pretty good.
I would remove the wheel well trim though, looks better without.

In fact, my plans contain: LL4 6.2D engine, 4L80-E automatic, NP205, DANA 60 king-pin 9.75" front, GM Corporate 14bff 10.5" rear, 4 springs 2.5" Skyjacker suspension lift, PSC hydro assist steering kit, ORD steering box brace and frame repair kit, 285/75R16 BFG MT KM2 tyres (33x11.5x16) and 16x8 8 spoke chrome rims! Not so wild, but pretty nice!
