joined this forum can't remember when but i've never posted my jeep. here is what i've been working on for a couple years

this is how i bought it, blown motor amc360 out of a wagoneer, rust everywhere but dirt cheap as it had a rebuilt t18a out of a ford dump truck, adapted to d300.

- all the work is done by myself and inside a cramped one car garage

rust on the floor

rust on rocker

rust on rear quarter allowing body to fall away

stage 1
rebuilt amc 360 and put in mild cam, aluminum radiator, optima battery, dual brake booster, twin stick tcase

stage 2
frame rust repair and a free hard top/doors given to me but sunroof leaked bad

hard top patched

broken driveshaft, stomped the gas to hard on the road

mud bog last year

stage 3
axles - a little overkill on the rear. front is chevy 3/4 ton 3" tube d44 with high steer, and rear is chevy one ton 14 bolt, both have 4.10

i'll be there but not sure if i'll be off roading any. my shocks will be in tomorrow and my new rear driveshaft will be in next wednesday so i'm cutting it close. my front stock driveshaft is in place but not sure if it'll hold up wheeling. after the rally i'm installing a clocking ring on the tcase and building a flat belly skid plate and then ordering a new front driveshaft and i should be good to go.

not sure if anyone even looks at this but here are some more updates i've done.

i clocked the tcase up flat and built my own crossmember/skid plate system to gain clearence and use the stock mounting holes in the frame along with 4 bolts going through the frame side bolting up everything.

next i took the h1 rims apart and cut down the run flats and retained the dual beadlocks so i can run low psi and not worry about cutting a tire on a rock with the run flats. then i mounted and balanced(very hard) 37x12.5 pitbull rocker radials. these tires are the most aggressive radial tire i've ever seen. i had to double check that they were a radial before i'd unload them from the truck.

as it sits now

then recently i put in a ARB locker in the front so now the front has been completely rebuilt.

so far i'm very pleased as it can still drive interstate with no issues. i took it to haspin for toys for tots and really tested out the suspension and the combo of yj leafs and the bilstein 2125's makes it ride like coil springs off road.

Thanks,
Their are two vol. fire departments that do a off road challenge. I run in the modified class mud bogs. I'm the little guy in the class with 37's and one of the few not running a big block. Fletcher FD puts one on in Troy at the fair grounds and lockington FD uses Sidney's fair grounds. Fulton farms puts on two different mud bogs in the summer. Soon I'll be getting ready for the upcoming season.

Lockington, I think that's theirs, I'll have to ask her. I need to run up there when they have the next one.
