Yeah....31.000 € for a new one over here... but I do not think they make a 3000/4000 GBP profit on it though. I'd be surprised if after al their expenses and sales team salary etc it's more than 500/800 GBP.

But what can we do? Buy a Subaru? :x

Yeah - lets :D

That's not a grazy thought, the new Forester comes with a boxer diesel this year, 50 mpg, top speed of 120 mph 0-60 around 9 seconds, heated whipers, full independant suspension and permanent 4 wheel drive and always in the top 3 of most reliable cars.
To top it off, it will be in the price range of the stupid Compass, the only drawback is that it is not a full blown 4x4. but than again the KJ is not a Defender either.

would take a kj over defender any day
i guess you talking about subaru forester, then big price tag

Don´t worry, Tony!

I´m not saying, a Subby would be bad at all...but there´s still something in KJ...
Defender - well - maybe I´m beeing a bit emm...lady, but I feel KJ more refined :)

That's funny, €52,000 for a KJ?

€78,000 for a Limited CRD KJ in Denmark. Only €65,000 for a Sport CRD KJ.

If you go with a VAN type you can get a Limited CRD for €42,000 or a Sport CRD for €38,000. Instead you pay €1,500 road tax each year on them.

Life is good!

Yeah - that was the price 5 yrs ago.
They don´t import a new KK, so I don´t know what the price would be, but the new Nitro 4.0 is around 56k€ - diesels from 37 to 43k€.
Somehow, I think ´06 was the last import year for KJ...but I´m not sure...
People buy all kinds of Kias and Suzukis etc. these days, so I reckon the importer isn´t that much interested in trading with bigger SUVs.
Besides - the new legislation will be effective at 2010; means great bill for those vehicles with huge CO2 emissions...
You see - they claim the car is the biggest threat for environment

Wow! I thought JEEP was expensive in Spain...I guessed wrong.

This ECO tax is BS!.

They blame us SUV owners but my neighbour who has a gasgusler AUDI S8 doesn't contaminate more then I do? Stupid politicians.
