Am I the only one with on dash adjustable headlights? Haven't seen the switch on my friends cars...

Furthermore, if anyone is wondering what a Geo Tracker is ( see Jinstall's signature ) we call that a Suzuki Vitara.

Jinstall, do you have to change your rear bumper as well? I DONT HAVE TO CHANGE ANYTHING
Or can you get an american size plate for it in Germany? YES I HAVE A SMALL PLATE ON THE REAR

Does it have license plate lighting somewhere? YES THE LOWER LEFT WITH A LAMP JUST ABOVE IT
Or do you have to fit the Euro spare tire protector? I WANT THIS PART ACTUALLY I FOUND ONE IN THE US IN THE LOST FOR SALE SECTION
If so is it easy to connect the lighting ? NOT SURE YET I HAVE TO SPEND SOME MORE TIME ON A E-SPEC

We have the antenne on the right front fender, sucks.

Thinking about doing it the other way around, I hate the stupid plastic tire cover thing on the back..

Post subject:	CRD Belt tensioner €€€ scam
This probably goes for the 2.8 as well so; Last week a screeching sound came from the front of the engine. Checked it out, serpentine belt tensioner bearing shot. No problem, I thought, since the little wheel/bearing combo is fitted to the tensioner arm with a bolt and can therefore be easily replaced. Called my parts supplier ( I only use original MOPAR parts ): they don't sell the wheel as a spare. I needed to buy the whole thing. The price? €435 + tax!!!! So I had a closer look at it yesterday and the wheel on the tensioner is the exact same one ( bearings have same serial numbers ) as the idler wheels situated above the cooling fan and under the alternator. I've changed those at 80k/km and they've cost me €122 each!! So now I'll order one of those and fit that to the tensioner. They come complete with a new left hand thread bolt and a bushing, don't worry: they can be taken out with no problem. Hope this is helpfull. Don't get robbed by your dealer. Now this is an older post I already placed on the 'other' KJ forum, I got this responce from NICK who lives in Greece: DEAR TONY TODAY I DECIDED TO TAKE OF THE DECOUPLER,THE TWO IDLER PULEYS AND THE PULEY OF THE TENSIONER OF THE SERPEDINE BELT(FAN BELT). THE MECHANIC WHO I USE TO GO FOUND THEM VERY FAMILIAR.THE RESULT WAS THAT THE THREE PULEYS (NOT THE DECOUPLER) ARE THE SAME(TOTALY EXACTLY) WITH THE PULEYS OF A LOT OF GERMAN CARS (GOLF3,GOLF4,POLO,ASTRA,VECTRA E.T.C.). SO I FOUND THEM IN A STORE.THE LABEL IS: MEYLE (http://www.meyle.com) PRODUCTS OF GERMANY. PART NUMBER:1001450003 THE COST:3X20 TOTAL 60 EUROS!!!

Post subject:	MAP sensor aka turbo boost sensor
There's a lot of info on known problems with the 2.8 crd manifold pressure sensor (map) also known as turbo boost sensor. Nothing on the 2.5 sofar, which does have one. Getting nervous from these pics, (Honestly stolen from our Aussie friends http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67074 very very good FAQ on CRD.) Dirty Clean I took mine out too. Seems like a more simple design and because of it's shape had very little soot on it. So all you 2.5'ers out there: no worries. Well at least not about the map.

take of the grey plastic cover, then if you stand in front of the engine on the righthand side, all the way at the rear. Fixed with 2 allen bolts. This pic is of a 2.8 but on the 2.5 it's in the same place. Under the cables, behind the fuelpressure sensor. It will be dirty for sure, just not as bad. 2.5 rules! Nah, the 2.8 is better in power but the EGR sucks. As does the fuel filterhousing and some more stuff

Only the one bolt holding mine in place on the 2.8 ,fiddly to get to but a 5 min job. i cleaned the sensor with brake cleaner ,be gentle .Improved my mpg

I've got a tip for the bad headlights, just change the bulbs for Philips X-Treme Power H4 - £24.99 at Powerbulbs.com, they give 80% more light and are fantastic, I even got FREE Philips Blue Vision W5W pilot lights with them. Don't forget to take the grill out when you change your bulbs, I still got the scars on my hands from trying to get between the airbox and the back of the lamp a year ago

Yeah, I've seen those, you can buy them at almost any carparts store over here. Thanks for the tip, didn't expect them to be that good.

Would it be that tight of a place? The what I`ve had noticed, I thaught there´s gap enough to allow the change w/o dismatling the grille... The original headlights were a bit disappointment or better still, a surprise - I´ll try to find a pair of those X-treme Powers. Do You have any idea of their durability? I had some xtra bright H7s in my Stilo - they lasted like 1500 km maybe and the were difficult to change. -timo

Someone in Europe has to link up with me so we can compare 2.8L. Also I just did a ful LED conversion on the rear and it is GREAT! Everything fit the OEM housing pervectly. I just have to order a digital flasher unit and I will be fine. I also just got my Cherokee door guards so if anyone wants my Liberty Sport ones let me know.

We need to have 55/60 on road use I´ve got a pair of H4s 80/100W in my garage - it´s just that the local constabulary might collect some €€€ finding them used as my head lights timo

Look for Phillips bubs that burn a 4000K they give off the best white light in standard headlamps. I have US spec lamps and do not have that option. The7y are in all my cars with E-spec lamps.
