I am afraid that will only fit 2.8 looking at the filter housing...We do not have that many connectors and we do have a water bowl at the bottem of our filter...but it is probably way better then OEM.

That's the US spec fuel filter head they are showing there!

People have complained tonnes of times about it leaking, breaking, catching fire and smelling bad as well.

I'd stick to what we got! But the filter itself would be nice to have, indeed ;)

How high is shipping? Or do you pick your stuff up whenever you visit the US?

Shipping is cheap for me. I am sure that the prices would still be cheaper if you ordered. Give them a call and tell them the guy form Germany sent you. It might take a bit but in a large shipment it could be worth it. I got 2 tranny filters and a fuel filter shipped here for like 60 euros.

Never mind Keltick, since he is US seller he'll probably only have the 2.8 filter....

Here's an idea, do you have a carparts store nearby? Take one of your old ones there and see if any of the MAN filters are the same. You should be better of and pay less.

You can always ring them up wiht the OEM part # and see if it fits another product. Most filters have several applications. I use this all the time looking ofr filters for US cars in a German parts store. Another reason to use books instead of computers. I learned the parts business the old school way.

From the pictures it looks like the 2.5L had Racor fuel heads - has anyone tried ordering a Racor filter?

The folks retrofitting them had used the 245 series
