Hi guys.

Just wanted to let you euro folks know that the Mahle OC247 filter is useable on the KJs too. Going to put it in in 4000kms.

Image

Mahle filter is 11,5 cm long.

Image

Mopar filter is 12cm long.

Image

Mopar filter (right side) has holes further to the rim of the filter, Mahle (left side) has holes closer to the center.

Price was about €16. It is a little more expensive than the MOPAR one, but I have heard good things about Mahle.

The US section does have plenty of options other than the MOPAR one, but I thought we could do with one too since shipping from the US is so expensive.

Yeah exactly. Buying MOPAR is cheap, but buying the american equivalent filters is more expensive because of shipping. The Mahle one is available in europe and doesn't cost shipping. That's why I posted this one.

For instance the americans use a NAPA replacement filter or AMSOIL filter. Try and get those shipped from the US and you need to order at least 10 before it is even reasonable to do. If you don't like MOPAR, just try out the Mahle as I suggested, instead of going abroad and getting the NAPA or AMSOIL ones.

No don't forget guys, Uffe pays 25% tax on that part. So for me it might be 12€.

VAT is mainly 22% here in Finland....at least in auto parts it is...there´s only few trades with less tax ( restaurants, I think, and barbershops & some other trades pay only 8 or 12 % ) can´t remember exactly...

Filter is now put on the jeep, and it fits nicely.

I don't know if it will do any different filtering compared to the mopar one, but I have heard good things about mahle so I went for it :)
