Hey, I am new to L.O.S.T. and off roading in Europe, but I am interesting in finding other members and trails in Germany.

I still think I'm the only guy from Denmark on LOST

Would be really nice to hook up with someone from Denmark who also owns a KJ.

Yesterday on my way to work I saw a KJ which seemed like it had a lift on it, he was on his way to the 2nd largest city in Denmark not far from where I live.

Do like I did, see if there are some KJ owners LOST (:D) on Denish 4x4 sites. ( I did it on Spanish sites ofcourse duh...)

Or....leave a little note under the wiper?

As always I recomend ADAC here in Germany. They organized most automotive and motorsport events in Germany. They also over see almost every event in Germany. DMSB is also another one but can be contacted through ADAC.

He is on the east border and I am on the west border, lol. I will be in Amberg in April for a conference, for three days.

Jins you act like Germay is huge... were only 4 hours apart on the Autobahn... I do end up in the manheim/heidelberg/darmstadt/frankfurt area about once every 2-3 months as I still have friends stationed there. Maybe we could set something up for one of my trips in the future... Problem is my kids and wife will want to take the van

Forget about tracks in Germany. Officially you will get shot, hanged and then ticketed.

But a good tip you want to swallow an occasional fine:
Get a current Tomtom. They have LOTS of unpaved roads and you find them when using the option "Shortest way". If there's an unpaved road you will be asked if you want to allow those tracks.
I found some really scary ones that were not signposted as forbidden. Of course I searched in less populated regions.

I remember my Garmin GPSMAP once sent me through an enclosed field with a herd on it. We had to open a gate to use the road there. That was just a cut a corner of a road, it was probably 500m shorter than taking the paved road :D

Hi Uffe

I think we are actually 2 from Denmark on LOST

We go to Aarhus once or twice a month but haven't been there for a while so it probably wasn't our car (which is lifted).

On the other hand I saw a Silver Cherokee yesterday which looked to have been lowered!!!

Why would you buy a Jeep Cherokee (or any other "real" 4x4) and then lower it?

I'm also lookïng for an EVIC - where did you buy yours?

Woot! Uffe is not alone anymore! Euro Lost is getting better each day. Welcome Dolphinus :D

The lowered KJ you saw might have been a Startech edition, popular over here and I suppose in Germany and Denmark as well. I do not like their stuff to much. Steering wheels are great though.

Cool. I'll stick to english for the time being so others can benefit from the message as well...

You can get the EVIC from the wreckers found in www.ad2000.dk search in "fælleslager". Since you got an 03 like me, you can use my guide here:
http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... hp?t=27605

You can get information of which units you can choose from here: http://www.jeepkj.com/evic/

Remember to get that piece of wire from the harness of the wrecked car. If you need help I'll be glad to help you out if you're not too far away. I want to see that lift of yours too
