Will take some photos when i get a mo,still not happy without my bar.And now it would appear the knob jockey that reversed into me is saying i ran into him,i've got two witnesses though so that should get sorted out.

That's just typical, people change their attitude when they realize what a cock they've been. And then it changes again when they realize how much their cockup is going to cost them...

That's why I still have both my cars insured at All Risc. Costs me a car a year but I have no need for this, let the insurance companies fight it out amongst themselfs.

Anyway, If your A bar is not to badly damaged I am sure somebody can fix it.

It cant be fixed there is no access from the inside to beat it back to shape ,my search continues ,if i cant find one i like i may still sell.

If they can't beat it, why don't they cut it, weld on another stainless pipe, sand and polish, done.

Are you talking to the right people?

Jimmy that's a nasty dent. They cannot pull that out? Have you taken it to a good body shop?

Author:  JIMMY JEEP [ Mon Mar 24, 2008 6:31 am ]
Post subject:

Still waiting for the insurance company to book my car into a body shop for the bumper repair, the A bar took most of the impact but bumper has a similar dent in it.I wont be using the same insurance company next renewal, dragging their feet.

I hear ya, same trouble as me. Got another one now and it's 210€ cheaper!

I think it's repairable. :D

Post subject:

I cant see how it can be repaired ,even if you used a slide hammer to remove most of the dent you would never be able to get the shape back ,and filler cant be used because its not painted. :(
