Spend a couple of Hours under my Cherokee this weekend getting the rear handbrake to work again.
Every 10 Months or so the handbrake sticks with the result of hot rear wheels and low MPG.
I have to take the rear hand brakes apart and grind the levers clean of rust, grease them up and put everything together again and in 10 Months time I have to do this all over again.
It's a stupid construction having a drum hand brake inside a disc brake and the Haynes manual is useless as usual.

Had the same problem last fall.
Took all the levers out, cleaned them thoroughly and after assembling and adjusting everything has been O.K.
I have to use my handbrake everyday twice though.
